Steering
The steering system is an electronically controlled, hydraulically actuated system which actuates the rudder IOT provide control over the ships heading by quickly and accurately positioning a single spade rudder in response to a helm demand and holding the rudder at that position.
Main Propulsion and Shaftline
The purpose of the Main Propulsion and Shaftline system is to convert the rotational energy produced by the prime movers into thrust at the propellers, then transfer this thrust to the hull of the ship to propel the ship ahead or astern through the water.
MLO
The purpose of the Main Lubricating Oil system is to provide clean lubricating oil at the correct temperature, viscosity and pressure to the main gearing, clutches, and the combined thrust and plummer blocks for lubrication and cooling. It also serves the secondary purpose of cooling the oil for the LOSCA.
IPMS
The integrated platform management system is a distributed control and monitoring system used IOT control and monitor the propulsion system, auxiliary and ancillary machinery, electrical system, surveillance system, health monitoring, and damage control systems.
EPG&D
The purpose of the EPG&D system is to produce stable NATO standard electrical power from the ship’s generators or shore power and distribute it to the ship
s systems and services requiring electrical power.
FOS
The purpose of the Fuel Oil Service system is to supply clean Distillate Fuel Oil to the ship’s propulsion engines, Diesel Generators, emergency equipment, steam generators, and the RHIB at the correct pressure.
CCS
The Command and Control System integrates the ship’s sensors, weapons and other subsystems IOT support the threat-evaluation/weapons-assign process and the Detect-To-Engage sequence.
Meshed Defence
The purpose of the Meshed Defense is to have multiple systems providing overlapping capabilities in a layered defense IOT increase their effectiveness in the air, surface, and sub-surface theatres of warfare.
Navigation
The purpose of the Navigation Suite is to collect ship’s attitude and positional data and distribute it to various weapons and navigational aid equipment. This is done IOT allow the weapons systems to create accurate fire control solutions and is required for the safe pilotage of the ship.
Radar
The purpose of the Radar Suite is to detect and track surface and air targets at short, medium, and long range IOT allow sufficient time to react against above water threats and to contribute to the recognized maritime picture.
Communications
The Communications Suite provides both short and long range communication, in plain or encrypted format, for both voice and data. It does this IOT allow the ship to exchange both tactical and non-tactical information with other surface, air, and land based units.
Fire Control
The Fire Control System is a radar and optronic target acquisition and tracking system used IOT control and generates fire control solutions for the 57mm Gun and the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile systems.
