tachypnea, grunting, retractions, nasal flaring, sniffing or tripod position

What are s/sx’s of croup/laryngotracheobronchitis?
hoarse voice, dry barking cough, inspiratory stridor, fever, worse at night, <6yo, steeple sign on xray

viruses- parainfluenza, influenza, RSV, adenovirus
Tx of croup?
steam, cold air, corticosteroids, nebulized epi,
Signs and sx’s of cystic fibrosis?
meconium ileus, anasarca (edema), coughing, recurrent infxns, steatorrhea, abd distention, bilious vomit, jaundice
Signs, sx’s of obstructive sleep apnea?
hypersomnolence, pulmonary HTN, increased effort while sleeping, snoring, tonsillar hypertrophy, allergic shiners, 4-8yo, allergic rhinitis
Signs and sx’s of bronchiolitis?
fever, wheezing, cough, <2yo, dyspnea, rhinorrhea, retractions, rales, tachy/tachy, apneic episodes, otitis media, hyperinflation, atelectasis, shifting infiltrates
What a re s/sx’s of Atopic dermatitis?
edema, erythema, oozing/crusting (cheeks/scalp/trunk in infants), dry skin, Dennie Morgan lines under eyes, earlobe fissures, allergies/asthma
