A
Main= SOB syncope Tachycardia High JVP Peripheral oedema Hepatomegaly

What investigations are done for pulmonary hypertension?
A
ECG CXR Echo B natriuretic peptide Other e.g. right heart catheterisation, V/Q scan, lung function tests

What can be seen on ECG with pulmonary hypertension?
A
Right ventricular hypertrophy- right axis deviation
RBBB

What is seen on CXR with pulmonary hypertension?
A
Enlargement of pulmonary arteries
RV hypertrophy

What is the management of idiopathic pulmonary hypertension?
A
- Trial CCB
- Endothelial receptor antagonist OR phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor (sildenafil)
- Add prostanoid e.g. iloprost

What general measures can be used to manage pulmonary hypertension?
A
Treat cause Anticoagulent Diuretics Oxygen Digoxin Surgery- lung/heart-lung transplant
