The mental tension/conflict that occurs when our thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors do not align (not consistent)

What are the 3 ways we reduce cognitive dissonance?
A
- change our original thoughts/cognition.
- Change the behaviour to suit the dissonant cognition
- Adding new cognitions/supportive elements to outweigh cognitive dissonance, and justify/rationalise behaviour
