Q
Theory
A
Disorder is the result of an ego that has difficulty distinguishing between the self and the external world.
Regression to infantile stage of functioning - oral stage.
Id and ego are not differentiated so the ego cannot partake in reality testing.
Prompting the loss of control.
Schizo develops from an increase in sexual Id impulses and a weak ego that cannot control them.
Ego is overwhelmed by id and besieged by guilt from superego, leading to intrapsychic conflict.
