COWL ANTI-ICE Conditons
- Icing conditions exist when the OAT (on the ground and for takeoff) or TAT (inflight) is 10c or below, and;
- Visible moisture in any form is present in flight or below 400’ AGL for ground operations
- When operating on surfaces that are wet or contaminated
WING ANTI-ICE Conditions
- Icing conditions exist when the OAT (for takeoff) is 5c or TAT (inflight) is 10c or below, and;
- Visible moisture in any form is present in flight or below 400’ AGL for ground operations
- Runway surfaces are wet or contaminated
Tactile check
- OAT 5c or less
- Wing fuel temp 0c or less
- Atmospheric conditions conducive to frost formation
- Ice and frost may contine to adhere to wing surfaces even at temps above 5c
Cowl Anti-ice system
Cowl anti-ice must be on for all ground and flight ops when icing conditions exist except when
• Inflight SAT is -40 or below or
• Ice is annunciated
Wing Anti-Ice System
Wing anti-ice must be ON for T/O and flight ops when
• Icing conditions exist and airspeed less than 230 KIAS
• ICE is annunciated by the ice detection system
• Except when inflight SAT is -40c or less
When must the wing anti-ice be turned on
2 minutes prior to T/O during all ground ops 5c OAT or below unless type III or type IV anti-icing fluid has been applied

• Green
- Maximum and Minimum Limitations
- Caution
- Normal Operating Range
Engine start limit
Shutdown limit
- During all starts do not exceed 75% N1 for 2 minutes after start or until all operating indications are in the normal range whichever is longer
- Operate engines for 2 minutes prior to shutdown.
Max ITT for start
Cold start
900c
Engine must be run at idle until oil pressure returns to normal range
N2 split at ground idle power
Not greater than 2% N2
Airplane cold soak
-30 for than 8 hrs, before first flight:
• engines motored for 60 sec and fan rotation verified
• thrust reverses actuated until the deploy stow cycles less than 5 sec

Continuous ignition
- T/O and landing on Contaminated Runways
- T/O with x wind components greater than 15 KIAS
