A/C Pressurization Flashcards
This flashcard deck was created using Flashcardlet's card creator
What is the CPAM?
Cabin Pressure Acquisition Module, electronic monitor communicates with the DCU to display Diff pressure, cabin alt, and rate of climb on the EICAS
What happened in a Pressure controller fault
Both CPC’s fail
What does CPAM DO?
Monitors cabin Alt, rate, differential pressure
14,000 - Masks
10,000 - CABIN ALT, DIFF PRESS warn, and Aural Warning
Seat belts if switch is in the auto position.
8,500 - CABIN ALT caution
Don’t get either if it fails, but still get EICAS messages.
Flight abort mode
Within 10 minutes and under 6,000’ maintains landing elevation at departure airport
ECS?
Provides temp and pressure regulated air.
Automatic shutdown when pack outlet over 93 deg, resets at 85 deg
EMER DEPRESS?
Manually open valves below 14,250’
CPCs
There is 2 PRESS CONT button twice will manually change the CPC specific controller found on the ECS page
Masks auto deploy
14,000’
Pack Switch
Fail illuminates when over pressure or high temperature
What temperature does the LPACK HI TEMP indication appear on EICAS
85c
DISPLY COOL on EICAS message
One of the 3 AC fans has failed
Fan 1 used in flight
Fan 2 used on the ground
OVBD COOL
The overboard exhaust valve has failed open
What is normal differential pressure range
0-8.4,
at 8.6 there is Aural warning “cabin pressure”
In auto mode what controls the pressurization
One of the 2 CPC’s the other is in standby and switches 3 minutes after landing.
CPC function by sending electrical signal to control the vacuum
Where is cabin air exhausted
through the floor and to outflow valves on the aft pressure bulkhead
