Whats a protocol?
A
-defined set of rules for communication between network devices
-protocol allows devices on the network to identify and connect to each other
-protocols must be installed by the sender and receiver to ensure data communication
-Each protocol has its own method of how data is formatted when sent and what to do when you receive it
