Warm Conti w sea breezes from Adriatic to Sth and Cool from Alps North
Mostly flat, fertile, plains - Alluvial + some clay and loam on lower hills
Glera - Aromatic variety - Floral and Fruity
A and F - Apple, Pear, Acacia blossom
+ Peach and Melon when very ripe

90% Spumante / 10% Frizzante
Min 85% Glera + max 15% Bianchetta, Chardy, Pinot Grigio, Bianco, Noir
Harvest - Mostly machine 18 tonne/ha +20% Reserve
1st Ferm 18~20c 15~20 days 2nd Ferm Italian (Martinotti) Method
Must -> finished wine cannot take < 30 days (ensure bubbles)
Tank + longer lees and Trad Meth poss but rare
Brut -> Demi sec Rosé not now but expected along any minute now

6,600ha located within Prosecco DOC on E>W Hills (100~500m) face South
Inc Rive 43 areas, 15 villages within C+V
Inc Hill or Cartizze 107ha steep hills within Rive (within C+V)
Sim climate to DOC Warm Conti + breeze Adriatic and Alps but more rain RISK Spring flower and Humid related disease but breeze helps dry
Soil - Clayey sand and stones w Sandstone on higher levels
Thin and well drained + Alt = greater Diurnal range
Cartizze DOCG ver of Grand Cru - considered perfect microclimate
85% Glera but more aromatic and floral due to alt + Diurnal = +Acid
Harvest - C+V Machine permit but most hand picked due to hills 13.5 tonne /ha
Rive 13tonne /ha Hand only Cartizze 12 tonne /ha Hand only
