What is a pronoun?
A pronoun takes the place of one or more nouns. They can be singular or plural.
Give examples of singular pronouns.
I, you, it, me, she, her, he, him
Give examples of plural pronouns.
Us, you, we, them, they
What are indefinite pronouns?
Indefinite pronouns 3nd in -body or -one.
Example: Somebody, someone
What is an antecedent?
An antecedent is the noun or nouns the pronoun stands for.
Example: Micah and I are making a building using legos. We will finish tomorrow.
‘We’ is the pronoun that stands for the antecedents ‘Micah and I’
How do we show possession with indefinite pronouns?
We add ‘s to the indefinite pronouns.
Example: Someone’s trumpet is loud.
Which possessive pronouns can stand alone?
Mine, yours, ours, his, hers, theirs
Example: This is ours.
