it provides a wide audience but has no guarantee it will meet target market and is expensive

public relations (PR)
any activity where the public awareness of a business seems generous eg donating it improves business reputation and customer loyalty but this is not garenteed

this is when a business provides funding for an event for display of their name or logo.
helps increase public awareness, co-operate image, and community involvement but can be costly and recieve negative feedback

is aimed to increase sales in a short time does not guarantee customer loyalty

trade descriptions act 1968
states a business cant give false descriptions in relation to goods/services like quantity, data,size etc
it ensures prices are genuine and if it is offered on sale it must it must be set at a higher price for at least 28 days must have country origin on weight must be labelled.

advertising standards authority (ASA)
independent body that deals with complaints about advertising
monitors media to ensure advertisers are following code of practice if complaint is upheld advertiser must withdraw it
set guidelines and code of practice for advertisers to follow like legal, decent, honest and truthful

an independent organisations which regulates the UK’s communication industry (tv, radio,industry)ensuring a wide range of shows available audience are protected against harmful offensive material
