Cost of Quality
Cost of Conformance (prevention costs, appraisal costs) = money spent to avoid failures
Cost of Nonconformance (internal failure costs found by project, external failure costs found by customer) = money spent during/after project because of failures
Quality vs Grade
Quality = delivered performance Grade = complexity of the product
Product vs Project quality
Product quality = produce all deliverables in compliance with specs, accepted by customer
Project quality = objectives for cost/schedule/scope controlled/achieved; performed by PM plan
