A set of values/ rules determine whether an action is ethical or not
Consequence based
The outcome of the situation determines whether the action is ethical or not
Utilitarian
Actions are justified if the outcome benefits the majority of the group
Narrative
Story teller leads the listener to come to a conclusion on whether action is acceptable or not
Virtue- based
Judge a person by character and reputation rather than on an individual action
Deontology
If the person upholds their obligation towards another person the action will be ethical

- act in a manner acceptable to society
- doing what’s right rather than what’s financially rewarding
