When may the end of a project arise?
A
a) All the work has been completed, projects are finished and signed-off (planned)
b) Premature conclusion due to changes in requirements, lack of resources or unacceptable slippage in cost or time

What is the purpose of CP? (4)
A
- Provide a fixed point at which acceptance for the project product is confirmed
- Recognize that the objectives set out in the PID have been achieved
- Recognize that any approved changes to those objectives have been achieved
- Recognize that the project has nothing more to contribute

What are the five objectives of CP?
A
- To verify that the users have accepted the project
- To ensure the host site is able to support the products
- To review the project’s performance against its baseline
- To assess any benefits that have already been realized and update the benefits management approach to include benefits reviews after the project has closed
- Ensure that follow-up action recommendations have been made

A
- There is authority to initiate the project
- There is authority to deliver the project’s products
- The necessary management and control is provided and the project remains viable
- The corporate or program management, or customer, has an interface to the project via the Project Board
- There is authority to close the project
- The plans for realizing the post-project benefits are managed and reviewed
