- Constant insatiable hunger that leads to obesity

- Mild-moderate learning disability
- Hypogonadism
- Dysmorphic features
What physical features can prader willi present with?
- Fairer, soft skin that is prone to bruising
- Narrow forehead
- Almond shaped eyes
- Thin upper lip
- Downturned mouth
- Strabismus
Is there a cure for prader willi?
No- its a genetic condition
What needs to be limited in the management of prader willi?
Limiting access to food under guidance of a dietician is required to control weight
What do people with prader willi need?
A lower than normal calorie intake, particularly as they tend to have lower activity levels due to poor muscle strength and tone.
What medical management can be given for prader willi?
Growth hormone
Why are growth hormones given to someone with prader-willi?
Growth hormones improve muscle development and body composition.
