White spots on the buccal mucosa
How is measles diagnosed?
IgM antibodies can be detected within a few days of rash onset
What is the main management of measles?
Supportive
When might you consider admiting a patient with measles?
Immunosuppressed
Pregnant
Who needs to be informed about a case o measles?
Public health- notifiable disease
What are the main complications of measles?
Acute otitis media
Bronchopneumonia
Encephalitis
