Cut up potatoes into cylinders get some cylinders with different sugar solutions one should be pure water and one should be very concentrated sugar solution measure the mass of the cylinders and leave each cylinder in the station for 24 hours then dry them and measure the mass again if it’s increased water has been run in if its decreased water has been drawn out the dependent variable is the mass of the potato independent variable is the concentration of sugar solution and the controlled variable was the volume of solution and temperature

Ass a drop of water in the middle of a clean slide and add some epidermal tissue from an onion using tweezers and use the tweezers to place the epidermal tissue into the water on the slide and add a drop of iodine solution which is a stain and is used to highlight objects in the cell by adding colour to them
