A

Required to absent themselves from work to keep an appointment with Dr. up to a maximum of four hours for any appointment.

Sick Leave- Bereavement define

A

Absent themselves from work subsequent to death of a member of their immediate family, up to a maximum of 48 hours per occurrence. (Sheriff/ designee may grant more than 48 hrs not to exceed 240 hrs)

Sick Leave- Medical Emergency define

A

Absent themselves from work to personally care for a member of their immediate family whose medical emergency requires employees prompt attention. Emergency leave shall be taken as sick leave. (Except for a 1x provision of 48 hours of vacation per fiscal year.)

A

Any employee with reserve status in any branches of the military, upon request to serve active or in active duty for training, shall be granted a maximum of 30 shifts of paid leave per calendar year.

An illness or injury that keeps an employee from performing the duties of their job. Illness or injury to not be a result of an illegal act nor can it be intentionally self-inflicted.
