- Any citizen contact or official duty circumstance at the officers discretion such as field testing narcotics etc.
- To capture video or audio evidence from a third party that officers believe that may be deleted or lost as evidence. Consent must be granted.
Officers will document the existence of BWC recording in or what
- FI’s
- Investigative reports
- Citations
- Arrest documents
Officers will select body camera video from the choices in what section of the P1 report?
Connecting report section and also write “body camera recording available” on the first line of all reports and citation narratives
Should officers put BWC available in CAD?
Yes
Supervisor should conduct routine uniform inspections to ensure their officers wear there BWC how?
- In a manner to capture the optimum view of their surroundings
- That it is not obstructed by the uniform
- Is being worn on the non-weapon bearing shoulder

Officers have the discretion to deactivate the BWC under the following circumstances:
- A citizen with standing has requested the officer stop recording within the citizen’s premises, and the officer has entered the premises on consent.
- The officer is participating in informal, non-enforcement-related contact with the public when no event number is generated (e.g., First Tuesday, Coffee with a Cop, etc.).

- All regularly uniform sergeants and officers assigned to the law enforcement operations group.

- Headquarters security detail
- Gang Enforcement team (GET)
