Q

what are the 3 steps to calculate stratification?

A

1) calculate the measure of association between exposure and outcome (odds ratio)
2) divide potential confounder into strata (levels)
3) for each stratum, calculate the measure of association between the exposure and outcome (i.e calculate the stratum-specific measures of association) calculate odds ratios for each
4) compare stratum-specific measures of association
