So um.. what’s pollution?
Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. These harmful materials are called pollutants. Although environmental pollution can be caused by natural events such as forest fires and active volcanoes, use of the word pollution generally implies that the contaminants have an anthropogenic source.
What is another meaning to pollution?
Pollution, also called environmental pollution, the addition of any substance (solid, liquid, or gas) or any form of energy (such as heat, sound, or radioactivity) to the environment at a rate faster than it can be dispersed, diluted, decomposed, recycled, or stored in some harmless form.
Basically making more waste than the environment can handle or take out.
It can have negative effects on the environment and wildlife and often impacts human health and well-being.

Identify some of Trinidad’s landfills-
Beetham (POS), Guapo (), Forres Park (Couva), Guanapo, Toco, Blanchisseuse, Point Fortin, Cedros, Los Bajos, Studley Park Integrate Facility.
Name some methods to reduce pollution:
air pollution control, wastewater treatment, solid-waste management, hazardous-waste management, and recycling.
i) Policies - Treaties and Laws
ii) Activities - clean up campaigns etc. protected areas such as Tobago Forest Reserve, Nariva Swamp, Caroni bird sanctuary, Aripo Savannah etc
