Firearms will be retained for 30 days after which time the firearm is subject to destruction, retention or transfer except when:

  1. Unless the court or DA determines it is necessary or proper ends of justice or appeal the convection.
  2. The firearm was reported stolen, then it will be restored to the lawful owner as soon it’s not longer needed as evidence.
