Pneumoclear Flashcards
How many ML of water should you put in tube sets?
10 mL
High Flow/Bariatric Operating Mode
The high flow operating mode is used to distend the peritoneal cavity during laparoscopic procedures by insufflator Gaga CO2. It feature a constantly increased performance to compensate port aide leakages and continuing smoke evacuation over the time of the procedure.
Advanced Flow
The advanced flow operating mode is used to distend the peritoneal cavity during laparoscopic procedures, including but not limited to robotic-assisted laparoscopies. The advanced flow operating mode is designed to compensate for large leaks eg due to the use of suction instruments.
Vessel Harvest Operating Mode
VHO mode is used to distend the cavity along the vena Daphne’s magna and radial artery during an endoscopic vessel harvesting procedure.
Tamis Operating Mode.
The TAMIS Operating Mode is used to dilate and fill the rectum and colon by insufflating CO2 during transanal minimally invasive surgery.
Clinical Benefits to heated Humidified insufflator tubing
preventing core temperate heat loss during lap procedures when using heated and humidified CO2
Post-operative pain has been said to be decreased when using heated and humidified insufflation
Shown to cause less peritoneal cellular damage , less inflammatory response, and less adhesion formation
What does the beaker symbol indicate?
Gas Heater
Green - heating function available
Red and X - heating defective
Read - overheating of the heating tube
Blue - heating temperature is low
Grey - inactive has heating
How much pressure sufficiently distress abdomen? What does machine desufflate pressure to at the end?
10-15 mmHg
3 mmHg
