A form of prayer that consists of decades - 1 our father, 10 Hail Mary and 1 glory be
What does the rosary do for us?
Allows us to meditate in the grace of god, focusing on different mysteries and elements of JESUS’ life
What is the nature of the stations of the cross?
Series of prayers and meditations that honour the passion (suffering) and death of Christ
What does the stations of the cross do for us as Catholics?
Reminds us of Jesus’ salvation and sacrifice for humanity
What is the nature of the Eucharistic adoration?
The blessed sacrament is adored and worshiped. Christ is truly present within us.
Why is Eucharistic adoration Important to us as Catholics?
We can praise and thank GOD or pray in times of emergency. Way of focusing mind on prayer.
Give three reasons why it is important we have both liturgical worship and piety?
It shows our devotion to god. Follows what JESUS told us to do. Allows us to pray together. CCC supports both types of worship.
What are two benefits of piety?
Deepens your faith beyond purely liturgical worship, strengthens bond and relationship with god. Is more personal.
