- Ototoxic med so tinnitus

Reducing platelets to less than 150,000. This could be heparin-induced thrombocytopenia

Administering steps for Heparin
1 Baseline VS, aPTT, platelet count, and hematocrit
levels
2 check label
3 double check with another nurse
4 Use infusion pump and monitor rate every 30-60
mins aPTT every 4-6 hours until appropriate dose
1. subq 25-26 for administering
2. 2 in from umbilicus and dont aspriate duh
3. gentle pressure 1-2 mins rotate for next one
Advise to use electric razor for shaving and brushing with soft toothbrush.

management of BP, excreation of edematous fluid related to HF, kidney and liver disease, prevention of kidney failure
