A

Disorders in which a person adopts a persistent, rigid, and maladaptive pattern of behaviour that interferes with normal social interactions.

What is Paranoid Personality Disorder?

A

A personality disorder in which a person exhibits pervasive and widespread distrust and suspiciousness of others. Hold onto grudges, suspicious (interpreting people’s motives), question loyalty, think innocent remarks are threatening and does not forgive easily.

What is Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD)?

A

A disorder in which a person uses other people without worrying about their rights or feelings and often behaves in an impulsive or reckless manner without regard for the consequences of that behaviour. Break the law, disobey rules, tell lies, aggressive, irresponsible, impulsive, selfish, self-centered, and manipulative.

What is Borderline Personality Disorder (BLPD)?

A

A maladaptive personality pattern in which the person is moody, unstable, lacks a clear sense of identity, and often clings to others with a pattern of self-destructiveness, chronic loneliness, and disruptive anger in close relationships. Impulsive, fearful of abandonment, goals in life change quickly and dramatically.

What is Dependent Personality Disorder?

A

A personality disorder in which the person is clingy, submissive, fearful of separation, requires constant reassurance, feels helpless when alone, and has others assume responsibility for most areas of life. Need constant attention and someone to take care of them, little faith in themselves to do anything.
