- Social identity : based on our perception that we belong to various social groups

What are central traits ?
A
- They are personal characteristics of a target person that are of a particular interest to a perceiver

- The tendency for perceivers to attribute their pwn thoughts and feelings to others

What is attribution ?
A
- It is the process by which we assign causes or motives to explain people behaviours

What are the 3 attribution cues ?
A
- Consensus Cue : do most people engage in the behaviour or is it unique to this person (between-person)
- Consistency Cue :does the person engage win the behaviour regularly and consistently (Within-person)
- Distinctiveness Cue : does the person engage in the behaviour in many situations or is it distinctive to one situation (Across-situations)
