What is perception?
A
Receiving information and making sense of it.
Processing that transforms sensory information into meaningful representations - visual, auditory, touch, taste, smell

Types of perceptual disorders
A
Agnosia - failure of recognition (visual/auditory), astereognosis
Apraxia/Dyspraxia - disorder of movement in sequence
Neglect - failure to report to or orient to stimuli in the site of the brain lesion

A
- Higher level of understanding
- The act of knowing or thinking - choosing, understanding, remembering, learning

- Processing and understanding

- Language and communication - remembering new information

- Behaviour (inappropriate, embarrassing, impulsive)
