Attachments: ischium +/- pubis to trochanteric fossa

Actions: flex hip, extend stifle
Muscles: Quadriceps femoris and 4 bellies
Attachments:
RF- ilium to tibial tuberosity
Vastus- proximal femur to tibial tuberosity

Superficial gluteal m. - pelvis to 3rd trochanter
Middle gluteal m. - ilium to greater trochanter
Deep gluteal m. - ilium/ischiatic spine to greater trochanter

Attachments: head of fibula tp tuber calcaneus
Action: extend tarsus

Actions: adduct pelvic limb
Muscles: gracillis, adductor, pectineus (pubis/ilium attachments)
Attachments: pubic symphysis
Craniolateral Crus mm. actions and muscles?
Cranial tibial, fibularis longus, long digital extensor (extends digits)
Caudal thigh mm. muscles, actions, and attachments?
Muscles: biceps femoris (dogs have prox. attachment at sacrotuberous lig.), semitendinosus, semimembranosus
Actions: Hip extension, stifle flexion
Proximal attachments:
All: Ischiatic tuberosity
Distal attachments:
BF: lateral stifle, tibia, tuber calcanei
ST: tibia, tuber calcanei
SM: distal femur, medial condyle femur
Popliteus actions and attachments?
Action: medially rotate crus at stifle
Attachments: lateral epicondyle of femur to proximal caudal tibia
Causal crus mm. actions and muscles?
Action: Extend tarsus
Muscles: Gastrocnemius, superficial digital flexor and deep digital flexor= flex digits
