Comment: Consists of posterior (strong), anterior (rotational stability), and interosseous (strongest) ligaments
Sacrococcygeal
Origin: Coccyx
Insertion: Sacrum
Action: Allows some movement, stability
Comments: Consists of anterior, posterior and lateral ligaments; containing an intervertebral disc between s5 and c1
Iliolumbar
Origin: Transverse process of L5
Insertion: Crest of ilium
Action: Limits movement in the lumbrosacral and sacroiliac joints
Pubic
Attachment: Between pubic bones
Comment: Allows some movement, fibrocartilage disc
Sacrotuberous
Origin: Iliac spine and sacrum
Insertion: Ischial tuberosity
Comment: Provides vertical stability
Sacrospinous
Origin: Ischial spine
Insertion: Sacrum and coccyx
Comments: Divides sciatic notch into greater and lesser sciatic foramina
