  • 60% autosomal dominant, 40% sporadic

What is a blastoma?

A

A malignancy of precursor (blast) cells

“small round blue cell tumor”

A
  • most common extracranial tumor
  • peak incidence <2 yrs
  • can independently regress or mature
  • tend to arise in places with a lot of neural tissue

  1. Age <1 yr at diagnosis

2. N-myc amplification = bad prognosis
