Pectoralis Major
O: clavicular head= ant surface of sternal clavical
sternocostal= ant sternum and 6 costal cartilages
I: common tendon to inter tubercular groove
A: A44 and internally rotates humerus; clavicular= flexes humerus; sternocostal= extends humerus
N: Lateral (C5, 6) and medial (C7, C8, T1) pectoral nerves
Pectoralis Minor
O: ribs 3-5
I: medial border and superior coracoid process
A: stabilizes scapula; minor protractor
N:medial pectoral n. (C8, T1)
Subclavius
O: junction of rib 1 and costal cartilage
I: inf. surface of mid 1/3 clavicle
A: draws clavicle medially
N: nerve to subclavius (C5, 6)
Serratus Anterior
O: external first 8 ribs; fascia over intercostal muscles
I: anterior medial border of scapula
A: protraction of scapula; holds scapula; upward rotation of scap
N: long thoracic n. (C5, 6, 7)
