Q

Gluteus Maximus

A

O: ext. surface-ala of ilium- post. to post. gluteal line, iliac crest, dorsal surface of sacrum, coccyx, and sacrotuberous ligament

I: IT tract; some on gluteal tuberosity of femur

A: extends thigh; assists ext. rotation; steadies thigh flexion; extends pelvis when thigh fixed
