Adaptive changes in cell growth + Cell degeneration/ death

  • Happens due to altered cell demands/ injury

3 options:
- Adaptive changes (atrophy, hypertrophy, hyperplasia)
- Degenerative changes (ex. fatty change causing fat accumulation in cells)
- Death (necrosis, apoptosis)
