What is in the VFR/IFR competency check? How often?

Answer 2

VFR 12 months. Check includes all normal/emergency procedures, HF/CRM & pilots flying skills in a/c used in the AO.
IFR 6 months. Check includes normal/emergency procedures & HF/CRM.
PIC must undergo competency check that comprises of a route check and AD proficiency check, covering ground based procedures and a flight check to ensure they are competent in PIC duties (1 leg 1 AD land operations use). 12 months.
All pilots must complete oral/written test about aviation theory

What is covered in the 12m written/oral test for all flight crews?

Relevant CARS, CH exposition, a/c systems/performance/op procedures/FM, nav/met/ATC, special flight ops, new equipment/procedures & techniques, location/operation of emergency equipment
