A

Tight band of foreskin prevents retraction

Glans becomes increasingly oedematous - reduced venous return

A

Progressive pain and swelling in glans

Unable to retract foreskin

How is paraphismosis managed?

A

Manual decompression

  • wraps glans in gauze and squeeze tightly for 5 mins
  • draw foreskin back over
