intense or persistent sexual arousal to atypical objects, situations, or individuals
Paraphilic Disorder
a paraphilia that is currently causing distress or impairment or has caused harm, or risk of harm, to self/others
Voyeuristic disorder
recurrent, intense sexual arousal from observing an unsuspecting person who is naked, in the process of disrobing, or engaging in sexual activity, as manifested by fantasies, urges, or behaviors
specifiers of voyeuristic disorder
- in a controlled environment
- in full remission (5+ years not acted or no distress)
Exhibitionistic disorder
recurrent, intense sexual arousal from exposure of one’s genitals to an unsuspecting person, as manifested by fantasies, urges, or behaviors
-individual has acted on these urges w non consenting person, or the urges/fantasies cause clinically sig distress/functional impairment
Frotteuristic disorder
arousal from touching or rubbing against a nonconsenting person, as manifested by fantasies, urges or behaviors
Sexual masochism disorder
arousal from act of being humiliated, beaten, bound, or otherwise made to suffer
Sexual sadism disorder
recurrent, intense sexual arousal from physical or psychological suffering of another person
Pedophilic disorder
sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or bus involving sexual activity w a prebuscent child
Specifiers of pedophilic disorder
- exclusive type (attracted only to children) / nonexclusive type
- limited to incest
- sexually attracted to -males
- females
- both

Fetishistic disorder
Recurrent, intense sexual arousal from either the use of nonliving objects or a highly specific focus on nongenital body part(s), as manifested by fantasies, urges, or bx
The fetish objects are not limited to clothing used in cross-dressing or devices specifically designed for the purpose of tactile genital stimulation
Fantasies, etc cause clinically sig distress/functional impairment
Transvestic disorder
Recurrent, intense sexual arousal from cross-dressing, as manifested by fantasies, urges, or bx
-cause clinically sig distress/functional impairment
at least 6 months duration

in full remission

Specifiers for Transvestic Dx
W/ fetishism (aroused by fabrics, materials, or garments)
-presence of fetishism decreases likelihood of gender dysphoria in men w/ transvestic dx
W/ autogynephilia
- aroused by thoughts or images of self as female
- increases likelihood of gender dysphoria in men w transvestic disorder
