Weight definition
1) measures of gravitational force on a particular body W=m×g
2) directly proportional to mass
3) temp, pressure, altitude, latitude are NOT considered except for precise weight
Measure definition
1) It is determination of volume or extent which a particular body occupies
2) temp, pressure has a profound effect in Gases, Liquids
Pellet means
Small sphere made up of cane sugar
Synonym for Globule
Medication is same as globules
Cones preparation, preservation
Preparation :cane sugar + egg albumin
Source is both veg🥦, non-veg/animals
Preservation : kept in DRY place to prevent fermentation due to dampness
Characteristics of cones4
Shape : conical or semi-globular
Size : commonly used is No. 6
Consistency : harder than globule
They absorb only small quality of medicine
Medication, uses of cones
Medication : same as that of globule
Pouring sufficient quantity of medicine upon them & pouring out the excess
# No. 6 cone absorb = one drop of dispensing alcohol
USES : preserving very highly potentised medicine for long time
Advantages of cones
3) administration of small doses is possible with these medicated cones as they are small in size
1) as they r hard they absorb very small quantity of liquid medicine . So we can DISPENSE small quantity of dispensing alcohol
2) they are harder becoz of egg albumin, so they don’t absorb atm moisture as readily as globules, remain intact for long tym
Tablets or tabloids
definition

Not tightly packed
Characteristics of tablets 4
Shape : discoid, round but flat
Colour : white
Consistency : SOFTER than globules as they are made of sugar of milk
Solubility : more soluble in H2O than globules, insoluble in alcohol
Medication of tablets
Same as globules but small quantity of medicine is used to medicate tablets, as there is chance of dissolving
# 1grain medicated with one drop of medicine poured upon it
2 grain tablets with 2 drops
