How is chronic pain defined?
3 to 6 months of persistent or intermittent pain
skin, joint, muscle pains; sharp and well localized
Somatic pain
pain in internal organs & lining of body cavities; tends to be poorly localized with an aching, gnawing, throbbing, or intermittent cramping quality
