How much adrenaline is given in CPR?
10 micrograms per kg IV every 3-5 mins
How much amiodaeone is given in paeds life support?
5mg/kg

150 micrograms newborn to 6 years

300 micrograms of 1:1000 adrenaline

What other drugs should be given in anaphylactic reaction?
Clorphenamine (range 250 micrograms, 2.5 mg, 5mg, 10mg)
Hydrocortisone (range 25mg, 50mg, 100mg, 200mg)
Consider salbutamol
What blood test can be done to see whether true allergic reaction?
Mast cell tryptase levels
1) after resus
2) 1-2 h after reaction
3) 24 hours in allergy clinic
What strength shock should be applied in paediatric life support?
4J/kg
What is the maximum resp rate in 0-3 month old? 3 month- 1 year? 1-5 year? 5-10 year?3

In DKA the maintainable fluid therapy is different, what is it?
55 mls/kg/ 24h this is done for 48h to avoid cerebral oedema
In DKA how should replacement fluids be calculated?
Decide what percentage they are dehydrated (max 8%)
Then work this mls out using the percentage of their body weight in kg
And give this In addition to maintainance over 48h
How much insulin should a child be given in DKA? (hint- same as adults).
