Q

How do the collisions of gas particles create gas pressure?

A

A collision of gas particles creates a very small force. If there are many collisions occurring, this creates a a larger outward force over a certain area - this is gas pressure

Q

Why does gas pressure increase when the temperature does?

A

Because temperature increases the average speed of gas particles, increasing the likelihood of collisions and therefore increasing the gas pressure
