Externally, how is cockpit O2 overpressure

shown?

A

Two overboard discharge indicators located on each front side of the aircraft. They are normally green. An
indicator turns yellow, if there is any overpressure in the oxygen system

Oxygen Sub systems.

A

The fixed oxygen system is separated into two sub-systems:
One sub-system supplies oxygen to the left side of the cockpit (captain and 4th occupant)
One sub-system supplies oxygen to the right side of the cockpit (first officer and 3rd occupant).

A

On ground only: when the value is green with the amber half-frame, the pressure is below 1 150 PSI.

A

Appears on ground, when:

  • The oxygen CREW SUPPLY pb-sw is OFF, or
  • The oxygen pressure in the oxygen distribution manifold is low (if it goes below 47 PSI.)

How long does PAX OXY last?

A

The fixed oxygen system for the cabin provides oxygen to the cabin (passengers and cabin crew), and to the crew rest compartments for a minimum of 45 min.
