palpable mass

pelvic uss - transvaginal
USS findings
whirlpool sign
free fluid in pelvis
oedema in ovary
definitive diagnosis
made with laparoscopic surgery
Mx
laparoscopic surgery
either
- detorsion
- oopherectomy
complications
delay in treatment - loss of function
necrotic ovary not removed - infection, abscess, sepsis
rupture
