levonorgestrel - how does it work
preventing/delaying ovulation
levonorgestrel - contraception after taking it
COCP or POP should be started immediately
condoms needed forst 7 days COCP or 2 days POP
levonorgestrel - dose
1.5mg single dose
3mg single dose if >70kg or BMI > 26
levonorgestrel - if vomit
if vomit within 3hrs of taking it then dose should be repeated
levonorgestrel - side effects
N&V spotting, change to next period diarrhoea dizzy tender breatss depressed
levonorgestrel - breastfeeding
avoid for 8hrs after dose
