“Pseudomembranous pharangitis: greyish-white membrane, with lymphadenopathy, myocarditis, & arrhythmias. Toxoid Vaccine prevents disease (DTP), not infection.
Lab diag. GPR with metachromatic (blue & red granules) & elek’s test for toxin. Black colonies on cystine-tellurite agar.
Coryne = club-shaped
