Pizza eye. Congenital infection. Heterophile mononucleosis (negative monospot test). Directly related to CD4 count. Pneumonia. Retinitis.
Epstein-Barr virus
Latent in B-lymphocytes.
Infectious mononucleosis. Burkitt’s/Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Nasopharyngeocarcinoma. Monospot test
Human herpesvirus type 6
Roseola. High fever, then seizure, then rash: Trunk-to-face
HHV type 8
LANA (latency-associated nuclear antigen) –> Kaposi’s sarcoma, caused by sexual contact.
