degeneration of cartilage in a joint
degenerative disease; excessive “wear and tear”

Hernerden’s Nodes (bony bumps on joints tip of finger)
-Bouchard’s Nodes (bony bumps in middle of finger)

- crepitus (crackling, grating sound when bones rub against each other)
