  • blood, halitosis, salivation, loss of pigmentation, convexity of hard palate
  • increasing age: fibrosarcoma –> SCC –> mlaignant melanoma
  • small: MM, medium/large: fibrosarcoma/SCC, boxer: simple epulid
  • nastiness: simple epulid –> MM –> linhual carcinoma –> tonsillar carcinoma
  • tonsillar carcinoma: pain on opening mouth, mass lesion/crater, mass in neck, cervical pain

A

-local Ln enlarged?, x ray thorax, biopsy any lump
-TX:
no treatment: ABs/ steroids
local excision: palliative
radiotherapy: good for SCC but may cause simple epulid to become malignant
-radical surgery (removal of parts of jaw): when restricted invasion, epulids, SCC, osteosarcoma
