What does the integumentary system do?
Regulates temp., houses sensory receptors, covers and protects
What does the skeletal system do?
Frames, protects, movement, make blood, store minerals
What does the muscular system do?
Movement posture and source of heat
What does the nervous system do?
communicates
What does the endocrine system do?
Alters metabolism of target tissues
What does the cardiovascular system do
transports blood with gasses, nutrients, hormones, and wastes
What does the lymphatic do?
Transports tissue fluid, carries fat, and defends against infection
What does the digestive system do?
recieve and breakdown food, eliminate waste
What does the Respiratory do?
Move air in/out, exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide
What does the urinary system?
Remove waste from blood, maintain electrolyte balance, maintain acid/ base balance
What does the reproductive male system do?
produce maintain and transport sperm
What does the reproductive female system do?
recieve sperm, transport sperm and eggs, house and develop prenatal humans, enables birth process
