Teleserve shall be used in the following areas:

1. Incident reports as dictated by this policy;
2. Citizen requests for information/advice. This information/ advice shall be limited to:
   a. Report pick-up procedures;
   b. Procedures for supplementing reports;
   c. Government telephone numbers;
   d. Drug-Tip Hotline information;
   e. Fraud information;
3. Giving information to the police; and/or
4. Reporting problems that need police attention at a later time.

Question 3

A call for service shall be handled by Teleserve if it is determined that:

1. Suspect has left the scene.
2. Physical evidence does not appear to be present.
3. Complainant does not want to prosecute
4. Follow-up by an investigator is not necessary.
